Father in Heaven, please comfort those hearts that are hurting. Give peace to those who live in conflict and turmoil. Send your Presence to those who are lonely and who feel lost, forgotten and alone. Show your children who needs extra love and attention this year just to make it through these days that seem like tortue. Ease the minds of those who are constantly questioning and probing for meaning. Show them that Your love is real, even when Your people are not.
For the heart that crumples at the negative connotation the word "family" evokes, give Your love and acceptance. For the person who's always feeling alone in the crowd, give your Spirit as the true Companion. For the soul who's always laughing in the crowd, but feels like dying inside, please give real meaning and true life.
And, lastly, Lord, please let those who are oblivious to these hurting souls, see them this year and give them an opportunity to be You through their actions.
